In the heart of the beautiful Exmoor town of Dulverton lies The Tantivy, a traditional, family-run Shop, Coffee Lounge and Deli, steeped in the heritage of this gateway to Exmoor National Park.
The large shop offers a range of gifts, deli items and now a range of luxury frozen meals prepared within Dulverton by the renowned Croft & Cottage. We also now stock an extensive range of delicious infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars which we fill in store and can be refilled when used.
The Coffee Lounge is open 6 days per week offering our delicious coffee and teas, Summer Lite Bite Menu including Greg's yummy home made cakes!! We also offer a take away service - just pop in and ask what's available.
In the shop as well as the news agency, extensive confectionery ranges and Styles ice-cream by the scoop, there is a wonderful array of high-quality products and gifts, many local and include: Wines, Local Ciders, Exmoor Ales, Exmoor Gins, Local Preserves, Local Honey, Fudge, Biscuits, Traditional sweet jars, soft drinks, local books, OS Maps, walking guides, a huge card and gift wrap range and an array of luxury gifts, including Wrendale, Portmeirion and Emma Bridgewater.
The shop was established around 1939 and is currently owned and run by Dave and Greg who bought the shop in January 2018. They are often asked what Tantivy means and the most consistent answer is, ‘a fast gallop as part of the hunt’.
